AFL Coaching

Isn't AFL an Australian game? I was intrigued when I heard there were Aussie rules Coaches, coming in to teach us how to play.We are kiwi kids.

The first skill we were taught is the drop punt. The correct technique is to face the laces away from your face.As Miss Garden wasn't expecting us to hit her for our target "as she was scared".

Our second skill is a hand pass.First our coach did a demonstration as we thought it was really easy. We had to tighten our fist and try and aim the ball to our partner.

Our last skill is a high mark.We had to put our hands in the sky so when your partner throws you the ball you have to catch it.

I'm looking forward to putting all these skills into practice, when we get to play a real game of AFL next week.
