On a Tuesday morning at 10:35 me and my little sister stayed home because we were both sick we watched t.v we suddently heard a big nock at the door wondering who it was we looked threw the little gap to see who it was my nana.So we open the door and she told us that our cousin had a baby and it just past away and she looked sad and I was felling sad the whole day and couldin't wait for my mum to come back.

On Friday there was a big mess of paint on the deck.Some people thought it was so funny that they can paint the deck.But t is not good because Mr Mallow has to clean it up,even when they made the mess.So instead room18 decide that the whole class should scarab the deck and
clean the class room because it was so messy.

Athletics

On November the 23rd of 2011 pt england school had athletics. First everyone got changed into there house colors, as some people had butterflies in their stomachs felling nervous about there activities they were doing.As soon as people went to do there activities the 11 years old girls and the 10 year old girls did shot put. It was very hard to lift the ball using one hand because it was to heavy,that it fells like it is going to drop out of your hands.With lots of supports on the side line as parents were cheering as they were just trying to cheer the people up as they don't get shy well they are doing their activities.As it was a hot day the sun started to rise as it got hotter and hotter.Then time was up, it was time for the 11 years girls to make there way to Mr Burt for their 75 meters to run down to Miss Flavor.Running was not bad because I came 1st in all my runs even the 100 meter run. Adults saying well done you did it with a surprise looking face to all there children for trying very hard to come a place (1st,2nd or 3rd). It was time to do relays for our house color,as the senior demonstrated where we had to run , it looked really hard because you challenge other people from other house group members sometimes like the year7 or 8's.

Shopping

Today me and my big sister is going shopping for food for our cupboard.We first caught the taxi to the bank and then walked to the lotto shop to cheek my mums ticket my mum just luckily won $45-dollars.My mum was happy she walked out and said yes I think this is my lucky day today and I said yea right.And then we started walking to Pakin save I got the trolley and started pushing it inside.I was walking around telling my mum what are we getting I got anything I wanted.I asked my mum if I can buy a chocolate and she said yes you can get anything you want I only picked a drink and a chocolate and chips it taste nice.My mum was just shopping for our cupboard.We bought nice food any ways.

Being in rm18 while year 6 is at camp

Last week on Thursday room18 went to tennis with Marcel.

First we got a racket and a tennis ball. As soon as we got a racket we got straight in to playing king of the court.So we challenged our mates,the rule was the last person who was standing has to challenge Marcel to see who was the champion in room18 was.
It was his last day with room18 we had a lot of fun with him.But only one person spoiled it by hitting the tennis ball on roof. So we had to collect all the balls in the box's and I collected 9.

Year 6 camp

Even when I am not going to camp, it really sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun.I really like to do rock climbing because it is cool, and you can challenge your friends and see who can get to the top first.The hardest thing to me is kayak because you have to paddle left and right and try not to tip over. I will be excited if I went.

Tennis coaching

After play on Thursdays Room 17 Played tennis with a professional named Marcel.

As we went on the court to play tennis I thought that it was going to be hard, but when I watched it on the T.V it looked easy.

First Marcel taught us how to hold the grip on the racket.So that you can control the tennis ball were ever it goes
and you can get better shots.

Now it was time to play a game with your team mates.It is called King and Queen of court as I got a lot of misses.As I challenged Maru I won against her because I done a high lob as I got to be king.

I had a lot of fun playing Tennis with Marcel and learning a lot of skills.

Making Ice-cream comets

With a excitement rm17 and 16 made Ice-cream comets.

As Miss Garden scooped the ice-cream into my hands it felt icy cold. So it started melting down my fingers, it fells like a brain freeze.

On our Ice-cream comet we had crushed biscuits mixed with chocolate sparkles and strawberry.As there was hundreds and thousands of crumbling mess on the ground as Mr Somerville gave me a cone.

As the sun was shining my comet started to drip down through my fingers.With a sticky hand it felt like I had mud on me. I started to lick my Ice cream comet to make it stop dripping.

It was a very hot day instead that Ice-cream cooled me down.

Alien Earth Base

She had to go down into the bright light place. leading a way to the dark place.She had to find a cord and bring it back and plug it into my side.The girl went down the allevator into the bright light and you creep through and you are in a long room. have been reading a journal story called Alien Earth Base by John O Brian. This is one of the adventures I chose in this ‘pick-a-path’ story.

My cousin visiting us

In the holidays my cousin came to visit us with her mum and dad.As we had forgotten that they were coming.

As they knocked on the door they said Hi. So I said do you want to play tigey outside and she said yes.

Soon it was time for them to go home.As they walked to the car and said bye. So they said we will come back Tomorrow.

After that when they went home I felt like playing tigey.

As I went to visit Nana's house in the weekend she was so happy that I went to visit her. I had a lot of fun with her because she taught me how to neat a scarf.As she said you try so I try-ed and she said with a excitement you are doing it now.
After we had finished netting me and my Nana had lunch. Me and my Nana had rice

Maui and Matau

On Tuesday after noon we had Mrs Fire Raven we played a game called Maui and Matau with long wood stick.We had to face the stick on the ground in case we might hit some one.Maui is left and Matau is right the aim of the game is to try and catch the stick fast.First Mrs Fire Raven say's Maui or Matau and you have to try and get the sitck before it falls.

AFL Coaching

Isn't AFL an Australian game? I was intrigued when I heard there were Aussie rules Coaches,coming in to teach us how to play.We are kiwi kids.

The first skill we were taught is the drop punt. The correct technique is to face the laces away from your face.As Miss Garden wasn't expecting us to hit her for our target "as she was scared".

Our second skill is a hand pass.First our coach did a demonstration as we thought it was really easy. We had to tighten our fist and try and aim the ball to our partner.


Our last skill is a high mark.We had to put our hands in the sky so when your partner throws you the ball you have to catch it.

I'm looking forward to putting all these skills into practice,when we get to play a real game of AFL next week.

Super Tux

The first time I brang my net book home I was a game freak.The first time I got super tux 2 I didn't no how to play so I asked my frend and she said you just use the arrows to move and space to jump.After I have completed some of my levels I am really getting use to it now.But now I am finish because I have 9999 money.

Polar Bear

Polar Bears lives In Arctic Ocean, they are the Largest Polar Bears in the world.
The Polar Bear lives on ice and along the Shore.






The polar Bear has a very thick coat that keeps him warm.They walk with four strong legs with bumps on their paws for a grip on the ice.





Polar bear cubs live with their mum for about two and a half years. His mum protected him, even taught him how to hunt food.




Polar Bears hunt seals for their main food,The Polar Bear waits until the seal comes up and takes a breath through the little hole in the ice. And when the seal breaths, the Polar Bear gets the seal with his long sharp paws, and throws him to the surface of the ice.

Three types of dogs

This is a photo of German shepherd it is a very good dog it is strong and he loves to roll over and have someone tickle his stomach.Pluto is the dog in the middle he is a fashion dog he is white and his hair is clipped to look like pompoms.The dog on the right is a beagle they have a really good nose because they can smell things even rabbits so far away you can't even see it.

On Friday,there was a spectacular celebration for the opening of the 2011, New Zealand Rugby World Cup.A huge crowed enjoyed the ceremony either live or on t.v.


The Breath tacking Fire works over whelmed the crowd. The multi color fire work shot up in the sky, in in different kind of shapes. With so many fire works shooting in the sky it left marks.

As the crowed went wild people was pushing at the back,trying to get to the big screen. With a
huge group of people who was dressed up in All Blacks costume.When people was pushing people was saying stop pushing but they kept pushing.

Al thought the city,struggled with the huge crowed,every one agreed that the opening ceremony was a huge success.

The Rugby world cup 2011

On Friday the 9th it is time for the kick of.For the All Black v Tonga I wonder who is going to win? I think the All Black is going to win do you think.The All Blacks haven't won the RWC since 1987.My prediction is 24 to 54.There is going to be fire works every where in town also there is a celebration at 4:00 after school.There will be millions of fan for Tonga And All Blacks because they will be waving there flag's all over town.First the game will be held in eden park.

Badminton

We have badminton with Loren and Donna and they have come to teach Pt England how to play badminton and how to get better and better at it because they represent New Zealand some times they go around the world to other country's and play there match .

Every Fridays we have Badminton after C.R.E to me. I think badminton is cool cause we get to learn a lot of things like holding the racket soft so that you can hit it better.First we had to get a partner so that we can challenge them,we had to get five shuttles and put two on each side.And then one person has to serve the shuttle first and they have to try and hit it other wise if it goes over them then you get a point.As we hit the shuttle in the air it made pinging sounds.Then we played a game witch we had to hit the shuttle over the net and there had to be two people on the other side.

We need a make over so that we can redesign out side room17s courtyard.
Room17s courtyard is ugly because of the drain that has a lot of mud and grass in side.Also the concrete is cracked and uneven.And that is way people don’t play in our courtyard.
Nobody plays in Room17s courtyard because there is nothing to do. Sometimes people just talk with there friends.And we have sent surveys to different people in Room18,and16.We know that people doesn't play in our courtyard because we don’t see them.

Our areas are crowded because when the fields are closed every one gets crowded conditions in the breeze and the playground.
Room17 is trying to re-make the courtyard so that we can entice people to play in our courtyard.So it is not a waste of space.

The main characters in this movie is a cloud and a stork.
This was set up in the sky.
The movie starts When the stork's had to deliver the babies to there mum's and dad.
In this movie the main action is when the stork flies away from the cloud. The cloud kept on giving dangerous babies to the stork to deliver.
This movie ends when the stork comes back to the cloud with a bag of stuff. In the bag there is Armour for protection.
I give this movie a 10 out of 10 because it is a really cool, and also because I know what happens in this movie.

Extreme makeover courtyard edition

Room 17 has been researching ideas for our courtyard.

I chose the idea to put a basketball hoop outside room 17’s courtyard, because there is nothing much to do. I have found this information from mitre 10 mega. Me and my partner Alexandria looked on the Internet to see how much does the basketball hoop cost. After we looked at the hoop's we found a hoop that just sticks to the wall witch was only 65 dollars.

I am going to tell you about what me and my patner have decided.We have decided that we should put a long still chair outside next to the water fountian. Because when we go to the music room we can just sit and wait for Mr Max Jacobsen to come.

Redesigning a court yard

Our technology was about redesigning out side of room 17 court yard. What would we have out side we had to use the BAR KEY. First we had to look on the Internet for some Idea about some play area,school hoops that are stuck under ground Witch no one can steal it.


The problem was when me and my partner Alexandria had to figure out were do we have to put the steal chairs and other things.We found it really hard but we steal got it done as a team we were really happy when we had finished our technology.


Some of the idea is to add something out side so me and my partner added a hoop,stabled chairs and all so a water fountain.

This is a idea about were we save our work.

A family of hungry peacocks lives near Jessie house.Every morning at breakfast time,Jessie sees the shinning father peacock,the brown mother peahen,and their little peachicks structting down the driveway visiting her garden.

Fatu Feu'u flax print stage one

With Miss Muiaumaseaii we did art we had to design our own patterns on the Internet from fatu feu’u art picture’s.We then had to go over it with any color pen slowly other wise it will go cricket.
After that we had to show Miss Muiaumaseaii to see if it was good enough so we had to do another one but with 2 lines on 1 half of the paper with the left over pattern’s and leave the other half blank.After that some people from our class helped Miss Muiaumaseaii laminate it a left some for Miss Ouano to do some well we were at CRE.

OKtapodi part 2

When the male octopus was stolen from the seagull the female octopus stretched her arms as wide as she could, she flew right next to the seagull. She blocked the bird’s eye so that he can let go of her lover. The seagull let go of the male octopus. They fell into the sea, and lived happily ever after.

This is a movie is called Oktapodi, this film was set in a village in Greece. The main characters where about a female and male octopus and also a chef.The main thing that happened in the movie was when the female octopus got taken away from a man who worked for a chief.The main korero of this film is never let go with someone you care about a lot. I would show my family and friend the movie about the Oktapodi because it is really interesting and funny movie.

Redesigning My net book bag

Today we had to sketch our net book bag using our imagination I drew a computer,a phone, glasses, and a pocket, I added a computer on my net book bag because it might be boring and putted a pocket for something safe like if you had money and a sell phone.I replaced the button for glasses.
